About Ndigo

Welcome to Ndigo.

We are an experienced dance and yoga school with a passion for helping people grow. Since 2009 Justin and Ineke have brought the ABT curriculum and contemporary movement together under one roof in West Flanders.

Our mission

We are Justin and Ineke, founders of Ndigo.

Three things matter at Ndigo: creativity, resilience and team spirit. Creativity means you can be yourself and try new things. Resilience means you keep going when it gets hard. Team spirit means we show up for one another. Our motto stays simple: Dream it, Do it, Give it.

Our story

A dance academy with international roots.

Justin and Ineke both graduated from Fontys Dance Academy in Tilburg, then set off in different directions. Justin trained under Ashley Lobo at The Danceworx in New Delhi. Ineke worked at Alvin Ailey, Broadway Dance Center and Cunningham in New York, then moved on to Escola Superior de Dança in Lisbon and Studio Harmonic in Paris. Both earned their ABT certification in New York.

All of that lands in the studios at Stokerijstraat 56 in Roeselare every week — world-class training, close to home.

They are also Amazon Bestseller authors of 'The Dance Advantage', a hands-on guide for parents navigating the pre-professional dance world. And each week they bring those stories to their podcast, The Justin & Ineke Podcast.

Our three pillars

Dream it. Do it. Give it.

Dream it

We encourage ambition and imagination. Dancers learn to chart their own path, not someone else's. Every student gets the space to think big.

Do it

Discipline, skill and perseverance. We ask for commitment — and we give the structure and guidance to make it stick.

Give it

Talent only gains meaning when you share it. Our students perform, lead workshops for younger groups and contribute to projects worldwide through B1G1.

B1G1 — Business for Good

Every class counts.

Ndigo is a member of B1G1 — Business for Good. For every enrolment with us, we link a concrete contribution to a project making a real difference across the world. The counters below update automatically as we reach more people.

The Global Goals we support

Our giving is aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Milestones

Seventeen years of Ndigo.

2009 — The big opening

Justin and Ineke open Dansstudio Indigo in Roeselare — three studios with sprung Harlequin ballet floors, the same standard you find in professional theatres.

2014 — Best Choreography Awards

We picked up awards at a major international festival and trained alongside teachers from the National Ballet of Prague. That experience pushed us to grow our team and raise the bar for dance in Roeselare.

2018 — ABT certified

Justin and Ineke travel to New York and earn their American Ballet Theatre Certified Teacher diploma, levels Pre-Primary to Level 3. In 2019 they complete levels 4 and 5.

2019 — Indigo becomes Ndigo

A new name for a bigger story. Ndigo becomes a launchpad for creativity, art and movement — dance, yoga, coaching and everything around it.

2023 — European champion

Ndigo wins Best Artistic Direction at the Barcelona Dance Awards and takes the European title in modern and ballet — first place in contemporary, second in hip hop.

2026 — The Future in Motion

This year we launched the Justin & Ineke podcast, a natural next step after our Amazon bestselling book. Each episode brings in an expert from the dance world to talk about parenting, resilience, creativity and what comes next.

Pre-professional pathway

Dance as a career, for those who want it.

Ndigo runs a pre-professional dance programme. Our alumni have moved on to Fontys Dance Academy Tilburg, the Royal Ballet Academy in Antwerp, De! Kunsthumaniora Antwerp, KTA Bruges and the Royal Ballet School in London.

Not every child needs to become a dancer. But every child deserves training that keeps the door to a career open, if that path opens up.

My daughter loves her dance classes more every week. We see her open up and grow. Dance means so much more than just moving to music, and the team is always there for the dancers.
