The Dance Advantage.
The guide for parents who support their children in the pre-professional dance world.
Mental coaching, insider knowledge and practical tools — brought together in a book that draws on more than 20 years of experience. Written by Justin Yep and Ineke Vandevyvere, founders of Ndigo.
The advice is very practical and encouraging. It feels less like a textbook and more like a great coach giving you advice. I would definitely recommend it to any dancer, teacher, or parent going through this journey.— Cindy · Mum, Google Marketer (USA)
A book that comes from practice.
When our son Milan left for The Royal Ballet School in London, we became the kind of dance parents we had guided for years: proud, hopeful, and suddenly faced with questions nobody really prepares you for.
How do you support your child without pushing too hard? How do you handle the pressure, the sacrifices, the uncertainty and the impact on family life? The Dance Advantage looks at the bigger picture of raising a young dancer — with a practical focus on mindset, family life, creativity and resilience.
Six chapters that matter.
How we nurture human skills in the digital age. Why dance trains exactly what AI cannot replace.
How dance connects people across the world — and why that connection is worth more to your child than you think.
Why a school education alone is no longer enough for the future. And what dance adds to the picture.
The world divides into creators and consumers. This chapter helps you place your child on the right side — deliberately.
The world your child is growing into is unpredictable. Resilience is not a luxury, it is the foundation. Dance builds it, day after day.
No shortcuts, no hacks. How to make sure your child is driven by purpose and impact, not by external pressure.

This book gave me language for conversations I didn't know how to start. It changed how I support my daughter — not just in dance, but in everything.
