I started classical ballet at six. That passion for dance has never left me. Beyond ballet I picked up jazz, modern, street dance, pointe and ballroom — anything I could get my feet into.
After a Bachelor in Tourism in Bruges I moved to the Netherlands and enrolled at Fontys Dance Academy in Tilburg, where I graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor in Dance Teaching. The programme spanned classical ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop and everything in between.
Placements took me to Escola Superior de Danca in Lisbon, Alvin Ailey, Broadway Dance Center and Cunningham in New York, and Studio Harmonic in Paris. I also completed Progressing Ballet Technique and Chakra Yoga for children.
I've performed in productions in Belgium and abroad, and completed two intensive ABT training courses in New York. I'm now a certified teacher for levels Pre-Primary to Level 5.
I taught my first class in 2005. In September 2009 Justin and I co-founded Ndigo in Roeselare. Over twenty years later I still teach toddlers, teenagers and adults every week. Almost all our toddlers go on to join the ballet classes — proof that a warm first step into dance really lasts.
