Alicia is 6 years old and tells us, together with her parents, about her first competition year. She grew not only in dance, but also as a person.
She truly owns the stage and is proud of what she does.
How was the dance season in a competition team for you as parents?
For us it was wonderful to see how Alicia has grown in her dancing. As a person, too, she has made beautiful progress. We appreciated the clear communication and the fact that everything was shared well in advance.
How did the competitions go?
Really well. We experienced little to no stress. When we asked on the way to a competition whether she wanted to go over her routine once more, Alicia said there was no need because she knew it. She looked forward to every competition. For her it was especially special to be able to perform her dance on a real stage.
How did the people around her experience it?
At school it was a lovely experience too. On Mondays Alicia brought her medal in and told everyone enthusiastically about her experiences. Even the teacher enjoyed hearing about it and asked for the song so they could dance to it in class.
It's clear you know what you're doing and do it with heart and soul.
How did your dancer feel within the group?
We feel Alicia felt good in the group. You can tell she really looks up to the older dancers.
Did Alicia learn anything new?
Yes, definitely. She has become much more independent and much more self-assured. She has grown enormously in her movement. She truly owns the stage and is proud of what she does.
How do you look back on this season?
We are very glad we chose this dance school. Your approach, the way you interact, the organisation — it shows in everything. It's clear you know what you're doing and do it with heart and soul. All we can say is hats off and a massive thank you.
