On her first dance for her wedding

Lore on the choreography of their first dance at Ndigo. On letting go of stress, working with the children and a unique wedding moment.

In conversation with Lore

We helped Lore and her husband, and their children, with an original choreography for their wedding. They had a unique concept in mind and were looking for professional help with the dance steps, the music mix, and the moral support to get them over the threshold of performing in front of all their friends and family.

The first dance choreography was a real showstopper at the wedding.

How did you feel beforehand? Did you have any worries or stress about the dancing?

I felt quite a lot of stress beforehand. We are not dancers, and we feel we can't really dance well, and certainly not together.

Do you feel the stress disappeared because you received coaching at Ndigo?

Yes, the lessons were really quite relaxed. It was great fun working with the teacher — lovely that she also helped with the music. She created a unique mix with great beats. The kids thought it was brilliant working with her. We chose a first dance that included a role for our daughters too.

We received loads of positive reactions. People were blown away.

To what extent did the end result match what you had in mind?

It was brilliant. We received loads of positive reactions. People were blown away and loved the surprise of the kids suddenly joining in. It was also great that there were three sections in our choreography. That gave an extra element of surprise.

Would you recommend it to other couples?

Definitely. The first dance choreography was a real showstopper at the wedding. The period before your wedding is busy and stressful as it is, so I was glad our first dance was in good hands.
