For your dancer

A style of her own within hip hop.

A class with the energy of hip hop and a language of its own. Expressive, confident, without anyone having to give up who they are.

The girly hip hop groups at Ndigo work on posture, groove and feminine power moves, with a focus on technique and personal expression.

"So happy to see how our girl has changed — open and bright. Thanks to the whole team for such a warm and safe place. All she talks about now is going back to camp and to dance class."

What your dancer takes home

More than learning choreography.

Girly hip hop trains more than the moves. Your dancer learns how she comes across, how she takes up space, and how she adds her own energy to a group.

01 · Stage presence

A confidence you can see

How she walks, looks, stands. Skills that pay off well beyond dance — at school, on stage, in life.

02 · Personal style

Making it her own within the group

No copy work. The teacher gives the technique; the dancer fills it with her own energy. That makes every performance personal.

03 · Groove & technique

A foundation that stays

Isolations, body waves, power moves. The technical grounding is solid, so your dancer doesn't just learn choreographies but picks up building blocks that fit everywhere.

04 · Expression

Translating emotion into movement

Girly hip hop asks for more than executing steps. Your dancer learns to add facial expression, posture and intention to every move.

05 · Group dynamics

A crew that lifts each other

Many lasting dance friendships start here. The atmosphere is warm and nobody feels pressured, but the bar stays high.

06 · Confidence

Knowing who you are when you dance

Your dancer learns to see herself in the mirror and be proud of what she can do. That feeling travels home with her.

Frequently asked questions

Questions parents and dancers often ask.

What's the difference with regular hip hop?

Girly hip hop puts more emphasis on feminine expression, posture and stage presence. The technical foundation is similar, but the style and energy are different. Many dancers take both.

Do you need dance experience to join?

No. Every group starts from the basics and the teacher adjusts the difficulty. Beginners are always welcome.

What clothing is needed?

Ndigo Sweatpants and a black top or T-shirt of your choice. Clean trainers. Suggestion: Ndigo Cropped Top. Available in our shop. For the trial class, sportswear is fine.

Are there different levels?

Yes. Girly Minis & Kids (Years 3–6 primary), Juniors (Years 1–3 secondary), Teens & Adults (Years 4–6 secondary and 18+).

Can you join halfway through the season?

Yes. The structure repeats, so you pick up the rhythm quickly. The semester fee is adjusted to your start date.

Is there a show at the end of the year?

Yes, in June on the stage of the Schouwburg theatre in Roeselare. Every group dances its own choreography. The costume is included in the semester fee.
